A father stepped out of the room briefly. His 3-year-old son walked into the bathroom, turned on the bathtub, and was falling in when his dad grabbed him at the last second. He built SafeHolmes so no other parent would have to go through the same thing.
According to the CDC, hot water scalding is one of the leading causes of in-home burn injuries among young children and seniors. Our restraint stops both the hot and cold handles from being turned on at the same time—preventing accidents before they happen. It works equally well for curious pets; cats and dogs are surprisingly capable of turning faucet handles on their own!

Worked well for my tub and stopped my two year old from flooding the house.
Our cats are somehow able to turn the tub faucets on. This was a perfect solution, easy to install and take off when needed.
How is this item not everywhere?!
It’s awesome, nothing else like it!
Had a surprising feature, a rubber piece that keeps the protector from scratching the handles when my baby tries to pull and push on it or when I go in to remove one side to be able to turn on both faucets! I appreciate that all of the pieces stay snug while not in use. Overall it’s very clever and easy to use. I really appreciate not stressing out about this issue anymore, like wow, we are living in the best of times with these kinds of inventions, I’m truly relieved!
This item is a lifesaver. My grandson (15 months) loves to play in water and our jetted tub controls are eye level to him. He was grabbing the knobs like he was switching gears on a mustang. This knob restraint here stopped that. It fits perfectly on the knobs and my little one is so mad but he’ll be okay though. Thanks again for saving me and my water bill. Lol

My cat was constantly turning on the tub faucet...while we were sleeping, while we were out, while we were downstairs. This finally stopped him but is still easy to remove and use the tub regularly.
I could have made something along these lines. Especially when you have to wrap the handles in rubber and use tape to tape them down.
these faucet restraints is not user friendly especially for women users. i suggest the designers to work on more women user friendly aspect of this devise. my 5 year old autistic grandson can easily yank it out of order and flood the bathroom if this restraint is not snug properly.

After battling my 1 year old toddler for what felt like forever with regards to the tub faucet- I was put over the edge when he proceeded to fill the tub with clean laundry fresh out of the dryer and turn the water on while I had my back turned… I then googled tub faucet baby proofing! To my surprise there weren’t many on the market to choose from which I find insane considering so many new houses have this sort of soaker tub style!
The look of defeat in that little guys eyes when he went to try to turn the tub on was unbeatable! 😂
