Why SafeHolmes Exists

Two minutes. That's all it took.

I briefly stepped out of the room to put something in the kitchen. Less than two minutes later, I heard running water. I ran to the back of the house and found my 3-year-old son in the bathroom — he had turned on the bathtub and was falling in when I grabbed his leg at the last second.

In that moment, everything changed.

I started looking for something — anything — that would prevent it from happening again. There was nothing on the market designed specifically to stop a child from turning on a dual-handle faucet. So I built it myself.

Since then, I've heard countless stories from other parents, grandparents, and caregivers — some with happy endings, some without. Every one of them reminded me why this matters.

SafeHolmes exists for one reason: to give families one simple, effective tool to help prevent water-related accidents at home. For toddlers who move faster than you expect. For seniors and those with special needs who deserve an extra layer of protection. For pets who are more capable than anyone gives them credit for.
